This year's motto of celebrating the Day of Libraries at G. I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was “Library is alive!” It means to be diverse, eco-friendly, open, and effective!

The holiday program included the installation “Living Library” near the Foucault Pendulum; the “Secret Book” campaign at the library hall; a flash mob “Fly, live with the KPI Library”; a public report of the library and photo challenge on Facebook from the Ukrainian Library Association “Library is your pivot”.

The “Living Library” near the Foucault Pendulum became a call for being active and effective along with the library. The “Secret Book” campaign was a great success and ain\med to give away fifty books from thirty fascinating people. Wrapped in eco-paper books with a comment why this book is worth reading became a hit. The organizers gave them away in 2 hours!

Before the official part, a flashmob “Fly, live with the KPI Library” took place at the library hall. All the students who visited the library that day came together and flew paper airplanes from all floors.

“We are grateful to everyone who has been with us all this time! No pandemic and quarantine will stand in our way! Only together we can overcome any challenge of life!" – said Oksana Brui, the Director of G. I.
