🎥 For the third time since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Kyoto International Choir organized a musical telebridge on Kyiv Day between the two sister cities as a gesture of support for the people of Kyiv and solidarity with Ukraine.
🤝 This year, the event took place at the Borys Paton State Polytechnic Museum at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Participants in the telebridge included:
🔹 the Derevychka folk ensemble
🔹 the Kyivska Koliada community
🔹 the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute
🎼 Performers in Kyiv sang Ukrainian folk songs as well as the Japanese song ‘Look at the Night Stars’. The Kyoto choir performed ‘Don't Give Up’, ‘Prayer for Ukraine’, and other pieces. The event concluded with a joint performance of ‘Red Viburnum’ and the National Anthem of Ukraine.
