Japan came to life at Kyiv Polytechnic University! The Ukrainian-Japanese Center at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic University held the Japanese Autumn 2025 festival — for the third time, the annual festival has been enchanting its guests with the culture, aesthetics, and traditions of the Land of the Rising Sun.
🇯🇵 Japanese Autumn 2025 at KPI is:
- a lecture by a special guest — Masashi Nakagome, Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine;
- master classes in Japanese calligraphy, ikebana, oshibana, cooking, and nivaiki tree shaping;
- Japanese language classes for adults and children;
- ancient temple music and shakuhachi flute;
- logic games shogi and go;
- demonstrations of kendo, kyudo, aikido, karate;
- tea ceremony, Japanese dances, concerts of traditional instruments;
- calligraphy works, unexpected exhibitions.

The festival also had a charitable purpose. This year, funds were raised for a car for a graduate of the KPI's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
