🏆 More than 30 students from leading technical universities in Ukraine took part in the first youth hackathon dedicated to climate innovation and challenges, the Youth Climate Innovation Hackathon. Students from Igor Sikorsky KPI proposed the most effective solutions for decarbonizing industry, developing renewable energy, and mutual assistance energy clusters. The hackathon was organized by the Kyiv School of Energy Policy in conjunction with the Ukrainian Climate Office.

Importantly, the cases addressed real climate challenges facing businesses and were provided by KNESS, DTEK Renewables, ISolar LLC, and UNIT.City.

Project idea for a simulator to select the optimal ratio of solar and wind power capacities.

The students study at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management (Institute of IEE). A student from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics also joined the team.

A project for a hardware and software platform for direct electricity exchange between industrial parks and local communities.
