In response to the current challenges and demands of Ukrainian society, as well as to ensure Ukraine's competitiveness in the world, promote the development of national research potential, and integrate into the global research space, the Ministry of Education and Science holds competitions among scientists, followed by the provision of funding for advanced fundamental research that involves setting and solving pressing scientific problems. Kyiv Polytechnic continues to acquaint readers with the projects of our university's scientists that have received state funding this year. Among them is a project developed by researchers at the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute.

Recently, information appeared on the Internet that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had created the position of advisor on gender issues and that Oksana Volodymyrivna Grygorieva had been appointed to it.

For centuries, russia has tried to rewrite ukrainian history, in particular by plundering ukraine’s cultural heritage. With the help of stolen artifacts, the terrorist country has for centuries fueled imperial myths about the diversity of russian culture, the continuity of its artistic tradition, the “brotherhood” of Ukraine and russia, and the absence of differences between our peoples.

Life axiom: encounters with famous creative personalities are particularly memorable in childhood. An almost two-hour lesson-dialogue, held on June 7 by the presenter of the TV channel “Kyiv24,” lecturer at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCA), and journalist Anastasia Krasnytska for students of the media school in Vasylkiv (Kyiv region) and pupils of the information and creative agency “Yun-press” (Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth), was dedicated to the celebration of Journalist Day. Ms. Krasnytska has 15 years of professional experience in television (over 4,000 hours of live TV broadcasts).

On June 5, the KPI Sports Complex stadium hosted the regular “Cup of the Unconquered” football tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Four teams took part in the competition: “Polytechnic,” “ISZZI Team,” “210 OSHP” (team of the 210th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), and “Solomyanskyi District Police Team.”

Thousands of strong ties connect Ukraine and Ukrainians with Israel and its citizens. Some of us have old friends living there, others have relatives, some have collaborated with scientists or businesspeople from that country, and some have traveled there for vacation or medical treatment. Therefore, meetings with representatives of Israel are always warm and interesting for their participants. The meeting with Michael Brodsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine, which took place on June 5, was no exception.

Traditionally, towards the end of the academic year, the 24th International Scientific and Technical Conference “Instrument Engineering: Status and Prospects” was held at the Instrument Engineering Faculty of Igor Sikorsky KPI.

On June 18, the university held an award ceremony for the Golden Honorary Badges of the National Technical Organization – the Federation of Scientific and Technical Societies of Poland. This year, they were awarded to Professor Lyudmila Mykhailivna Shulgina of the Department of Industrial Marketing, FMM; Professor Serhii Vasylovych Voitko, Head of the Department of International Economics, FMM; Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management Professor Oksana Oleksiivna Vovk, and former Director of the G.I. Denisenko Scientific and Technical Library Oksana Mykolaivna Bruy. In a solemn atmosphere, the awards were presented to Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students by Dorota Jaworska, Deputy Head of the KPI Alumni Section in Poland. The 16th International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Youth Innovations in Mechanical Engineering” held in a mixed format (in person and online) on May 12 at the Igor Sikorsky KPI State Polytechnic Museum, covered a wide range of topics.
