On June 5, the KPI Sports Complex stadium hosted the regular “Cup of the Unconquered” football tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Four teams took part in the competition: “Polytechnic,” “ISZZI Team,” “210 OSHP” (team of the 210th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), and “Solomyanskyi District Police Team.”

The tournament traditionally began with the Ukrainian national anthem and a minute of silence in honor of the fallen soldiers. After the draw, the right to take the first symbolic kick of the ball was given to Ivan Fomenko, a veteran of the 210th Separate Assault Regiment. His combat path includes Zaitseve, Bakhmut, Berestove, Kupiansk, and later, a serious injury on the front line.

The games were fiercely contested, and the teams finished in the following positions: first place – “ISZZI Team,” second – “210 OSH,” third – “Polytechnic,” fourth – “Solomyanskyi District Police Team.” The best players, as voted by the audience, were Danylo Kopyk from ISZZI, Andriy Kyslenko from 210 OSH, Dmytro Kolomoyets from Polytechnic, and Vlad Faychuk from the Solomyanskyi District Police Team.

All teams were awarded commemorative prizes for participating in the tournament. The best players of the participating teams also received gifts. After the award ceremony, Yuriy Veremychuk, chairman of the KPI trade union committee, addressed the tournament participants with words of gratitude. In addition, Andriy Gavrushkevich, a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and assistant to the rector, who also played in the tournament for the Polytechnic team, addressed his comrades and all participants with words of gratitude and faith in Ukraine's victory over the Russian aggressor.

The cup tournament was held with the support of the trade union committee of Igor Sikorsky KPI employees, and was organized by the trade union committee's sports and mass commission, headed by Serhiy Zhuravlev.
