Every week I look forward to a new issue of the Kiev Polytechnic newspaper.

Dear educators, scientists and visitors of our meeting! Allow me to congratulate you on the one hundred and eighteenth anniversary of the founding of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute and twenty-fifth anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

I have gotten acquainted with Yulia Osipchuk (FL) and Dmytro Chernovyi (TEF), the fifth-year students, in the tourist camp “Globus”, they came there for “nature, people and emotions”. Yulia is here for the third time and Dmytro is for the second.

Oleksandr Kryshtal, the fifth-year student of FBMI, is a future rehabilitation professional. In particular, he plans to work with designing and operation of equipment for the improvement in the quality of life - recovery, correction and sustentation of a motor function.

Almost 4 thousand young people from throughout of Ukraine and other countries this year became the members of Kyiv polytechnic family. They will become students of 19 faculties and 7 institutes of the university.

On August, 30, 2016 the regular annual session of NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI” scientific-pedagogical workers took place at the Center of Culture and Arts of NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI”.

Every year among all teachers at our university we determine the leader of international recognition related to science publications – taking into account quotation figures in scientific-metric bases.

On August, 26, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine, Henryk Litwin has visited NTUU “KPI”. This was a parting visit to university by the current head of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland; his cadence in Ukraine has expired, and he will leave Kyiv on the 31 of August, after 5 years and 3 months of his work in our country.

During the spring, at the NTUU "KPI", on the basis of the Center for Physical Education and Sports, a traditional School Olympics competition was held.

This year's spring and early summer season began intensive research to students of  ITS: student competition, two competitions of scientific papers and several international conferences –  incomplete list of activities where talented youth can try their hand.
