December 1, within the plan of events of the Year of Japan in Ukraine, was a concert of the most fascinating pianist-virtuoso and composer— Tempeya Nakamura at the Center for Culture and Arts of the Igor Sikorsky KPI which were organized by the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of Igor Sikorsky KPI and with the help of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine. The concert was opened with greetings by the pro-rector of the university prof. P.O.Kyrychok.
About 600 fans of piano music gathered to hear a world-renowned pianist, who skillfully combines musical styles like jazz, classics and rock. The musician jokingly names his style "eastern romanticism".
He showed to numerous listeners his own virtuoso performances and told the audience by what exactly he was inspired and encouraged to create each of the musical pieces.
At the end of the concert, Tempe Nakamura played a melody, the sound of which captivated the hearts of the audience from the first notes - in the talented, albeit unusual arrangement of the Japanese pianist, the audience recognized the famous Ukrainian song "What a starry night." Without waiting for last notes, the audience gave a big round of applause. After that the musician played a few more compositions.
«It seemed like he had more than two hands,» «His music touches the very soul,» - the enthusiastic visitors of the concert shared their impressions.
Kyiv's performance became his final in this year's European tour. Also, along with the capital of Ukraine, the musician gave concerts during his tour, in the Dnipro and Vinnitsa, places that were near to the zone of ATO Bakhmut and Severodonetsk, where he met hundreds of his music fans.
"I want to travel the world like a bird using my wings, a piano," the artist said before the last concert, "Phoenix", and promised to return to the fans of his music.
