Polytechnics-laureates of State Prize in the field of science and technology
By the decree of the President of Ukraine №440/2016 dated October, 11, 2016 and State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology 13 pieces of scientific work (from 64 submitted for consideration to the State Prize Committee) were honored. Among them there are two papers that writing teams of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute worked at.
In particular, a cyclus of scientific papers "Fundamental characteristics of volume and surface ordered systems and creation of new metal consuming materials and structures" was presented by Institute of metal physics named after H. The paper cyclus comprises modern structural, spectroscopic and theoretical research related to various types of order in volume and on the surface of metal-consuming materials. Results received can be used for direct control of material characteristics and later in electronics, spintronics, sensory and biotechnologies.
There was spin diode on the basis of double tunnel junction of multilayer structure of iron oxide magnesium brought into practice, highly-ordered multilayer films with control surface characteristics received, materials for effective radionuclide extraction from water solutions and their long-term disposal.
The work "Energy efficient electromechanical systems of wide technological application" was presented by Institute of electrodynamics of Ukrainian NAS (writing staff: V. M. The paper outlines solutions to the most relevant scientific and technical problem of energy efficiency increase in the field of economy of Ukraine by means of theory elaboration, development and implementation of electromechanical systems of wide application range.
New ideas for control of semiconductor convertors and electromechanical systems, new principles of electronic drives diagnostics, elimination of self-oscillation modes in nonlinear friction systems along with vector control of asynchronous engines were brought forward.
According to its characteristics, designed electromechanical systems don't relinquish the best world samples and in terms of accuracy rate of mechanic positions without measuring and adjustment range they even exceed.
Economic effect of implementation of designed electromechanical systems at some enterprises of metallurgy and energy fields of Ukraine over the last years made up UAH 240 million.
