Andriy Gubsky, director of the KBIS of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, contributed to Channel 24's analytical material on trends in the development of artificial intelligence in 2026 and Ukraine's role in these processes.

In his comments, Andriy emphasized that AI is moving beyond experimentation and gradually becoming the basic infrastructure for business, education, science, and government digital services.

Key points:

➡️ The transition from AI as a tool to AI as a working environment: systems not only respond to requests but also perform applied tasks — analyzing data, generating documents, managing services, and assisting teams in their daily activities.
➡️ Agent-based and multimodal solutions are becoming the standard: working with text, code, images, and video in a single environment.
➡️ Specialized models for education, medicine, law, and defense are gradually replacing universal approaches.
➡️ High-quality data is becoming a separate strategic resource and an independent market.
➡️ AI as a basic scientific tool — accelerating research, modeling, and hypothesis testing many times over.

At the same time, the KBI team is already actively using artificial intelligence tools in its project work: for automation of development, data analysis, documentation preparation, and development of the university's digital services.
