XIII International Sikorsky Challenge Festival

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the International Festival of Innovative Projects ‘Sikorsky Challenge 2024: Innovations for Peace and Security of Ukraine’.

During the Festival from 29 October to 1 November 2024:

Anastasiia Sydorenko. The sprouts of the future are growing stronger

The Seeds for the Future international educational programme organised by Huawei brought together 150 students from 23 countries in Rome this year. The main topics of the event were: innovation, digitalisation, sustainable development and entrepreneurship. Among the participants were five talented students from five leading Ukrainian universities. Anastasiia Sydorenko, a fourth-year student of the RTF, represented Kyiv Polytechnic.

Polytechnics won the competition "Young Scientist of the Year 2023"

Representatives of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have once again joined the cohort of the best young scientists in the country. They adequately represented the university in the competition of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “Young Scientist of the Year 2023”. Three of them won in different nominations.

Students of FBMI and FBT adequately represented Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the international BioHackathon

At the end of May, the international hackathons Smart City Challenge and BioHackathon were held in Warsaw. They were organized by the Student Government of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Herbion Biotechnology Research Group of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Center for International Cooperation, and the student research groups Ventures and Startups and Innovation of the Warsaw School of Economics.

KPI scientists and artists are winners of the KCSA award 2024

The best representatives of the capital's youth for their scientific and creative achievements, as well as for their contribution to the development of the youth movement, were awarded the Kyiv Mayor's Prize for special achievements in the development of the capital of Ukraine - the hero city of Kyiv. 

Zhanna Ostapenko. Economical and efficient

Zhanna Ostapenko is one of a cohort of engineers educated by Kyiv Polytechnic, who, according to KPI Rector Anatoliy Melnychenko, ‘should create, design, be inventors and innovators.’
