On January 28, 2019, Victor Petrovych Rosen (born in 1949), Head of the Department of Automation Control of Electrotechnical Systems (AUEK) of the Institute of Energy Conservation and Energy Management, celebrated his 70th birthday. He is the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, serving member of the Academy of Energy of Ukraine and the Academy of Civil Engineering of Ukraine, author of over 370 publications, including 18 monographs, 15 textbooks, 4 industry methods of energy conservation and 8 copyright certificates.
V.P. Rosen is a developer of regulatory documents: "Educational directions of education of the population of Ukraine in the field of energy saving", "Program of implementation of the energy audit system in Ukraine", "Development and implementation of the system of marking of household electrical equipment". He is also the developer of 49 national standards in the field of electricity and energy saving in the following areas: general issues of electric power, energy management and energy audit, energy labelling of household electrical equipment, control of energy systems and their automation.
In 1968 Victor Rosen graduated from Konotop Industrial College, in 1975 he finished Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He defended his candidate thesis in 1983, his PhD thesis in 2014. From 2006 V.P. Rosen - Head of the Department of Automation Control of Electrotechnical Systems.
For fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, Professor Viktor Petrovych Rosen was awarded the title of "Honored Lecturer of NTUU" Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute “in 1999, and in 2018 - "Honoured Professor of NTUU" Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute “. He has state awards.
Victor Petrovych takes an active part in the scientific life of the University and the Institute of Energy Conservation and Energy Management. He is an energetic man of high culture, an erudite scientist, intelligent, simple and accessible in communication, attentive and responsive, demanding of colleagues, students and himself.
