The theme of this year's IX Italian Design Day - “Design for Reconstruction: Inclusivity and Innovation” - is very important for Kyiv Polytechnic, as we strive to create an educational space that is inclusive and comfortable for everyone, and the best Italian practices and technologies will be very useful in this.

The event was attended by leading Italian and Ukrainian industry experts, designers, architects, students, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine Carlo Formosa, who emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of design and architecture and stressed that Italy is ready to share its innovative and inclusive solutions to help rebuild Ukraine.

“We will be working not only with the restoration of our cities and towns, but also with the great trauma of our people, which means that we need historians, sociologists, psychologists, and, of course, engineers in our team. Design today has to combine the aesthetic and the functional, and without engineering knowledge-especially in architecture-it is impossible, so we will be happy to cooperate. We at the studio really appreciate young, talented, smart people, so if it is interesting, we will gladly respond to your students' internship offers,” says Tetiana Ivanochko, CEO & Partner of MAKHNO Studio, architecture and design studio.

This large-scale event is important for expanding the cultural partnership between our university and Italy, as well as generating joint ideas and initiatives to restore the infrastructure of our country.
