Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between DTEK Renewables and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, a renewable energy laboratory and a wind energy lecture hall were opened at the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management (IEE) to train specialists who will rebuild the Ukrainian energy industry.
“We are pleased to join the development of future specialists for the energy sector of Ukraine together with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. I am sure that the renovated classrooms and modern technical equipment will help optimize the educational process for teachers and students. May this project inspire and encourage young professionals to acquire new knowledge in order to make the best use of it in the future restoration of Ukraine's energy potential,” said Oleksandr Selishchev, CEO of DTEK Renewables.
The new educational and research laboratory:
📌 has two rooms (for solar and wind energy);
equipped with energy storage systems, solar panels, an inverter, and equipment for measuring meteorological indicators.
Therefore, KPI students will acquire practical skills here, which will significantly increase their professional competence.
“The opening of specialized laboratories is a corporate social responsibility of business, which DTEK Renewables demonstrates at our university. There are more and more projects like this at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and it improves the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process. Our cooperation will expand the opportunities for training specialists in the energy sector, which is an important contribution to the restoration of the state,” said Anatoliy Melnychenko, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The next stage of cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and DTEK Renewables will be the expansion of the technical base, as well as workshops and lectures from leading renewable energy experts.
