As for the material published in the newspaper "The Mirror of the week. Ukraine" №21

The newspaper "The Mirror of the week. Ukraine" №21 (June 12 - June 19) published the material by O.Onyschenko called "Dirty mark".

A number of the provisions of this article openly distort the facts and the position of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and personally its rector academician Mikhail Zgurovsky on election of members of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education at the Congress of higher educational institutions of state ownership.

We put representatives of labor collective appeal to the chief editor of the university newspaper "The Mirror of the week. Ukraine" Y. Mostovoyi on said material.

Dear Yulia! After having acquainted with the contents of the article "Dirty mark" published in the weekly "Mirror of the week. Ukraine" №21 (author - Oksana Onishchenko), the labor collective of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" outraged distorted and unprofessional submission of certain facts in this publication.
In particular, the article made unsubstantiated hints of the part of the rector of the University M. Zgurovsky in "collusion" with the rectors of other universities in order to influence the outcome of voting at the Congress of higher educational institutions of state ownership of future members of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. This information is incorrect and negatively impact on the credibility of the university. Rector of NTU "KPI" M. Zgurovsky since 05.18.2015 p. till 5.6.2015 p. was in a planned vacation (certificate attached) and was outside Ukraine because of participation in the preparation and holding of the congress did not and had no contact with fellow rectors of other universities.

In addition, in a negative light author of the article supplied professional public opinion NTUU "KPI" and other technical high schools expressed an academician M. Zgurovsky about incompetent formation and opaque approval of a new range of disciplines and specialties, which train the candidates of higher education. The point is that the removal of new list of critical importance to our industry specialties of engineering, instrumentation, materialoobrobky, according to the professional public will inflict a crushing blow to the basic sectors of economy of Ukraine and, accordingly, - on the prospects of sustainable development of our country, as has repeatedly spoken by academician M. Zgurovsky at relevant meetings and in the media. Therefore, the labor collective of the University believes journalist critical comment concerning the designated positions of "KPI" unprofessional and incompetent, given the fact that the author is not addressed to the university to comment on this item.

Considering the above, dear Yulia, the labor collective of the University insists on refuting distorted facts and opinions unprofessional journalist in the above article. We reserve the right coverage irrelevant in these open sources of media.
