The purpose of the visit is broadening of the cooperation with our partners in Republic of Poland and participation in the Task Committee on implementation the “Cooperation Platform of Central and Eastern European Metropolitan Universities of Technology”. (“Platform”, which coordinates joint activities of 10 leading universities of Central-East Europe in accordance with the processes of eurointegration: harmonization of the European educational systems and enlargement of the joint European research area, was founded on November, 2008 by Berlin Institute of Technologies, Budapest University of Technologies and Economics, Czech Technical University in Prague, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Norway University of Science and Technologies, Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Slovakia University of Technologies, Vienna Technical University, Gediminas Vilnius Technical University, Warsaw University of Technology).
Prof. S.I. Sydorenko had meetings with the scientists in Wroclaw Polytechnica (February 10-11, 2009), Warsaw Polytechnica (February 10-11, 2009) and in the Polish Educational Foundation “PERSPEKTYWY”, co-founder of the Ukrainian-Polish Center with heads of the KPI graduates' sections in Poland.
The discussions dealt with re-establishment of the traditions of cooperation with Wroclaw Polytechnica, which had been setting up during last decades, attraction of the NTUU “KPI” faculties to the participation in the projects of Polish scientists in the 7FP on science and technologies of the European Union, intensification of academic mobility of scientists, postgraduates, students and its financial support and other important aspects of cooperation with Polish partners, improvement of collaboration between students' organizations.
As a result of the visit, Ukrainian-Polish Centre of NTUU “KPI” is working out a program of cooperation development with educational and scientific field of Polish Republic for 2009.
