The opening ceremony of the Ukrainian-Norvegian remote training centre took place on April 24 at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
On the 24th of April the scientific and technical centre, established with the assistance and direct involvement of the company “ABB in Ukraine”, was formally opened at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering and Automatics.
On the 23rd of April the XII International scientific and technical conference “Engineering: situation and perspectives” started its work in NTUU “KPI”. 424 representatives of 73 manufacturing enterprises, universities, academic and research institutes of specific branches from 24 cities of Ukraine, Austria, Germany, Malaysia, Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Belarus and other countries take part in this conference.
April 22, 2013 National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was visited by President of Winnipeg University (Canada), Professor Lloyd Axworthy.
April 17 at the Educational Scientific Institute of Telecommunication Systems NTUU "KPI" was inaugurated the audience named after Olexandr O. Zinchenko.
NTUU "KPI" hosted a meeting in the frame of Round Table "Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and dual-use expertise, reorientation and prevention." The Round table was organized by the Ukrainian Scientific-Technological Center and the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA).
On April the 1st the first astronaut of independent Ukraine, a Ukrainian Hero and a Major General Leonid Kostiantynovych Kadeniuk gained a diploma and the degree of Honorary Doctor of Aircraft and Space Systems Faculty of National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
The magazine "Correspondent"on April, 5 announced a rating of Ukrainian universities , based on the attitude of employers to their graduates.

On April, 3 in the course of preparation for the official visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov to Ukraine NTUU "KPI" was visited by the Vice Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Sayat Shayahmetova and vice-rector of Semipalatinsk State Pedagogical Institute Abzal Taltenov .
