Recognition of merits and expression of gratitude

During the meeting on the highest level between the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich and the Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kana, that was held on the 16th of January 2011, in the course of discussion of the state and prospects of the bilateral partnership the Heads of two countries mention the functioning of the Ukrainian-Japanese Centre of NTUU "KPI". In the "Mutual declaration between the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich and Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kana about Ukrainian-Japanese global partnership" was written: "…Among various types of activities of the Centre the two Heads pointed out that the technical cooperation on Japanese projects and management of programs were extremely important for the development of particular branches of Ukrainian economy. They admitted that the Centre must remain being an important element of bilateral partnership in the realm of science and technology, stimulation of investments, learning Japanese language, mutual enrichment of the cultures, increasing the level of the mutual understanding with the active involving of all parts interested from the both countries..."

Rewarding of the bests graduates

On June 31at the Academic council hall of NTUU "KPI" was held a solemn ceremony of rewarding of the bests graduates-holders of master` degree of 110th jubilee university graduation.

Celebrations on the occasion of the anniversary of the department of telecommunications and ITS

On May 29th in the hall of the Council of NTUU "KPI" were celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the Department of Telecommunications and the 10th anniversary of its formation on the basis of educational institute of telecommunication systems NTUU "KPI".

The president, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Michael Zakharovych Zgurovsky opened the meeting, which united all the generations of students, faculty and staff of ITS, as well as representatives of government, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, colleagues from other universities and business partners.

Meeting with the president of Canadian international bureau of education

President of Canadian international bureau of edecuation Karen McBride visited NTU “KPI” on 28th of May. CIBE is a national, bilingual, unprofitable organization which represents Canada in international cooperation in educational sphere.

President McBride had a meeting with the rector of NTU “KPI” and academician of Ukrainian NAS Mikhailo Zgyrovsky, vice-rector of inernational relations and associate of Ukrainian NAS Sergiy Sydorenko, deputy manager of the Department of international cooperation Eugene Polischuk and others.

Seminar Project «PICTURE»

May,24 in NTU "KPI" the international seminar of the project «PICTURE» of 7th Framework Programme of the European Union in the field of information and communication technologies was held. Its participants were experts and representatives of non-governmental organizations, universities, research institutions and companies in Ukraine, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Greece and France.

The aim of the project «PICTURE» - strengthening cooperation between the European Union and the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the field of information and communication technologies. Therefore the theme of the seminar dealt with the specific directions and methods of such cooperation in the framework of «HORIZON 2020", which sets the main objectives and priorities of the European Commission in the field of research and innovation for the period up to 2020. The slogan of the "Strategy for growth and work" and the main direction of the strategy - "Excellent science", "modern industry" and "Best Company" succinctly describes its ideology and direction.

Seminar "The Synergy of IT- Education and IT- Industry"

The seminar "The Synergy of IT- Education and IT- Industry" was held on May, 24 at the premises of NTUU "KPI". The participants discussed the preparation of specialists for the sphere of information technologies and the harmonization of curricula to the requirements and needs of the market .
