On April 7th, a round table: ‘Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station – 30 years later’ organized by the Ukrainian nuclear community (UNC), State specialized enterprise of CNPS, National Nuclear Energy-generating company ‘Energoatom’ and NTUU ‘KPI’ took place in the Academic Board Hall.
Hryhorii Muliar, the president of UNC and Ievhen Pysmennyi, the dean of The Heat Power Faculty, opened the meeting.
The representatives of enterprises and organizations that acted as event organizers, scientists and university students participated in the round table. The following reports were presented: ‘Withdrawal from the service of 1, 2, 3, power blocks of Chornobyl NPC’, ‘Transformation of ‘Shelter’ object into the ecologically secure system’; ‘Treatment of nuclear fuel waste’, ‘Treatment of radioactive fluids’, ‘Treatment of solid radioactive waste’, ‘Economic aspects of CNPS’, ‘Building of the central shelter for nuclear fuel waste in the exclusion zone’ and others.
