AIDS – acquired immunodeficiency syndrome – is the final stage of an infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus(HIV).

This spring, fate leaded us to graduator of KPI Valery Ivanovich Dzyubak. Many years ago Dzyubak family lived in a house with Natalia Sorokina in Pechersk. It was a lonely older woman, she came to Kyiv from Novgorod-Seversky after the revolution of 1917 and got to work Kyiv CID.

Chapel of  KPI  is 60! It is a short time for the institution, but for the student choir it is a large period. Every five years its participants change (during this time 12 generations of students have changed!).

On the 3d of December 2007 it is turned 285 since the birth of one of the most prominent representatives of the New Age of Philosophy, the great Ukrainian sage Hryhorii Savych Skovoroda.

Language is the extremely old phenomenon. There isn’t the human without language. The primary function of language is to be a mean of communication, storage and transfer of knowledge. That explains the interest in language that people always showed and show.

More than a century "House with Chimeras" attracts attention and excites the imagination of locals and visitors alike for its location, layout, decorations and even the number of floors: there are three of them if you look from Bankova  and six from the square Franko.

You can live your life in different ways. You can go long and silent, leaving unnoticeable traces on the sand of existence, which will be washed by time, but you can inflame shortly and lively, dazzling by shine everything around you.

1955. Space? Sputnik? These words belonged to science fiction. And although geophysical rocket rose into the sky higher and higher, and even for few minutes reached the comic heights, it was hard to believe that the space age will come so soon.

Fifty year is a long time to evaluate the meaning of the breakthrough to the space (the launch of the first artificial satellite of the Earth) and step by step analyze the history of successive accumulation of the data to penetrate the Universe.
