The widespread use of computers in all kinds of activities and the constant increase in their computing power require a significant amount of parallel and distributed computing.

Physical education and involvement of students in regular sports activities in KPI today is given great attention. And this is confirmed by statistical data on the work of sports and recreation sections and the success of KPI students in competitions of various levels. 

Speaking to students is a common thing for Mart Noorma, Director of the NATO Joint Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE), who visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on February 8. After all, he is a professor and former vice-rector for academic affairs at the University of Tartu, worked at the Helsinki University of Technology.

The activities of the founding scientific schools of materials science, metallurgy, and welding at KPI were associated with outstanding world-renowned scientists: E.O. Paton, B.E. Paton, V.Y. Vasiliev, M.M. Dobrokhotov, K.I. Vashchenko, V.N. Hrydnev, I.M. Fedorchenko, G.V. Samsonov, V.I.

On the International Children's Inventors' Day, which is celebrated annually on January 17, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician Anatoliy Zagorodny, met with pupils of the Kyiv Minor Academy of Sciences (MAS) and presented the best representatives of the student youth with the Acknowledgments from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Kyiv Minor Academy of Sciences for high results in inventive activity.
