At the start of the training, the Head of the Civil Protection Department Yurii Nesterenko announced the topic: ‘Actions of the governing bodies of educational and research institutes, faculties and structural units, participants of the educational process, university employees in case of threat and occurrence of military emergencies’.

However, it was not possible to start the training in the hall because at that time an air raid alarm sounded - a real one, not a practice one. Therefore, all participants moved from the hall to the shelter in the first building. And so it continued there. Yurii Nesterenko again addressed the participants: he focused on the issues of practicing the actions of the university's civil protection management, management bodies of structural subdivisions to implement the measures provided for in the plan for placing participants in the educational process in protective structures, the simplest shelters in the event of a military emergency.

The methods and means of rescue and other urgent emergency recovery operations by the personnel of civil defence units, as well as increasing the effectiveness of the use of units in the event of man-made and military emergencies, were also discussed.

Afterwards, Yuriy Netserenko and Vice-Rectors of the University Serhiy Manziuk and Oleksandr Myronchuk, who also took part in the training, answered a number of questions from the participants.

The participants of the educational process also practised their actions in the units.
