On the 21st of February NTUU “KPI” summed up the National stage of international competition of scientific and technical creativity of schoolchildren Intel ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair).
Because of the tragic events in the country, the organizers decided not to conduct some activities that were initially envisaged by the program. However, they made sure that the finalists had a maximum benefit from the days during which lasted the final part of the competition. Contestants not only demonstrated their innovations at the Center of Art and Culture and talked with members of the jury during the defending poster papers, but also met with their peers- contestants from other regions of Ukraine, visited the exhibition at the State Polytechnic Museum NTUU “KPI” and Scientific-technical university library, listened to lectures of scientists and representatives of IT-industry, and their teachers took part in the meetings of the of the Educational Academy Intel “Science in school”.
It is worth noting that the jury decided to encourage all the finalists, because they all passed rigid sieve of regional selections and presented interesting original designs. Therefore, each participant received a certificate of the finalist. In addition, the jury awarded 5 first places, 20 second ones and 90 third ones.
And the winners who received prizes along with the right to present their projects from 11th till 16th May at the World Finals Intel ISEF in Los Angeles, were:
Alexander Titov from educational complex “School-lyceum № 3 named in honour of A. Makarenko”, Crimea (“Subdifferential of complex variable function”),
Victor Dorohin from secondary school I-III Number 2 , Crimea, Alushta (“Development of three-dimensional educational world with elements of social network – STUDYWORLD”),
Alexander Loiko from school № 48, Kiev (“Preparation of 3D holographic images, manipulating them using gestures”).
