Today students mostly are not very rich people. The beginning of adulthood is usually accompanied by if not poverty, then certain deprivations. Especially when a young man wants to be financially independent from their parents, or if they are simply unable to support him.
Teaching staff KPI for the first time in the country used contest system for appointing Professors of Departments only between persons who have a scientific degree. It was the most appropriate method of recruitment departments highly qualified personnel [2, p. 469].
Shuliavka which is more than 100 years ago gave shelter NTUU "KPI", has a long and interesting history. It was first mentioned in chronicles in the twelfth century. It is not surprising, therefore, that it is associated with numerous Kiev stories and traditions.
Kyiv Polytechnic, which turns 115 this year, carefully saves its history. Many famous people who had glorified our country in many fields of science and technology, entered the pantheon of great polytechnics forever.
During the 1st World War KPI main building used for defense purposes was placed in a room of food and dressing station evacuation hospital. Since August 1914 all of its middle part, except the library premises, occupied hospital.
Mechanical subdepartment (later – Department of Mechanical Engineering and now - Institute of Mechanical Engineering of NTUU " KPI") dates back to 1898 and together with Chemical Engineering Department is fthe same age as the Kyiv Politechnik.
The address of it is Prospect Beresteiskyi (former Peremohy), 37-e, the monument of architecture (early – the educational and manufacturing workshop of KPI).
