On October, 2, in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and an honorary badge for the well-known Polish public and state figure, founder and president of the Polish Educational Foundation “Perspektywy “, a true friend of Ukraine, Valdemar Siwinski.

Kiev Polytechnic Institute commenced the cooperation with the University of Ankara (the Turkish Republic). The framework memorandum on such cooperation was signed on September, 28, by the Rector of the KPI, the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Michael Zgurovskyi and the rector of the University of Ankara, Professor Erkan Ibish.

Igor Sikorsky KPI was visited by a delegation of representatives of the Jiangmen Municipal People's Government (Guangdong Province, China) on 22 September.

On September, 21, the KPI was visited by the delegation of Technological University Cilu (People's Republic of China).

On 14 September a large delegation of representatives from the CPC Committees of Hangzhou (People's Republic of China, Zhejiang province) and a number of its municipalities visited the KPI.

On September 11, 2017, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by a representative delegation from the University of Chanyang (the Republic of Korea).

On September, 9 was held a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony of art of the Shado (“The path of tea”) in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”

On September, 4 in the Hall of Meetings of the Academic Council of the KPI was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the diploma “Honorary Doctor of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, a mantle and a memorial sign to the famous Polish scientist, rector of the Warsaw Polytechnic Jan Schmidt.

August 7, 2017 KPI was visited by a delegation from the People's Republic of China headed by the General Liu Sheng, who participated in the XII session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Chinese Co-ordination Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation.
