«New Prometheus»: From solar to thoughts energy!

On 29th August, it has been raining cats and dogs since the early morning, but even this fact could not stop the solemn ceremony of unveiling the memorial “New Prometheus”, which is situated on the Knowledge Square of NTUU “Kiev Polytechnic Institute”.

On the 29th of August 2013 on the Lane of remarkable academics and constructors of the National technical university of Ukraine was held a solemn ceremony due to the opening of the monument to the remarkable constructor of air engines academician of the USSR Academy of Science Major-General-Engin

The Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic unveiled a monument to Petar II Petrovic Njegos on the premises of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" in Kyiv.

On the 13-th of June the public garden near the Science and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTUU KPI) hosted the solemn ceremony to unveil the monument to Petar II Petrovic Njegos (1813 - 1851), an outstanding poet and the Prince-Bishop of Montenegro.

Petar II Petrovic Njegos was the Prince-Bishop of Montenegro between 1830-1851, the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Cetinje. He was an outstanding statesman, reformer, Montenegrin fair fighter against Turkey. When he was in power Montenegro began to turn into independent modern state. He also founded the first school and printing establishment in Cetinje, that is a historical and cultural capital of the country, and edited a collection of folk songs. Moreover, he was a prominent poet, one of the most remarkable in the literature of Balkan nations.

Energy Efficient Lighting for the Great Physical Hall!

Dear staff and students of NTUU "KPI"! We invite you to take part in the indefinite event to collect waste paper, followed by the purchase of energy efficient equipment for the classrooms of our university.

Currently, we offer to upgrade the lighting system of one of the most important halls of the university - The Great Physical Hall.

In the hall, there are about 150 incandescent light bulbs, which, as everyone knows, are an inefficient source of light. Besides, a large room height and location of the lights on the ceiling limit the light output reached on the work surface.
