Not far from Igor Sikorsky monument, near the helicopter, a new seeding of the rare Ginkgo was planted on June 2. It is a gift from a social organization “Osviteks”.

April 23 was the opening of the second phase of the art space "Tower KPI": to the upper rooms were added basement. In his welcoming speech Rector of NTUU "KPI" Mikhail Zgurovsky noted that student creativity will continue to flourish in this corner.

 “Kyiv polytechnic” already told about beautiful decorative bush of barberries growing near rector’s wing. But here, close to the entrance to “Alma-mater” café its dimwitted cousin is situated – Magonia padybolysta (Mahonia Agguifolium Nutt.) or American barberries, or Oregon grape.

The main task of the maintenance department of NTUU "KPI" is the maintenance and development of the material and technical base of the University for its educational and research activities and the creation of social conditions for students and staff.

On February 6 a ceremonial signing of the Protocol of Intent on Cooperation between NTUU "KPI", corporation "Scientific park" Kyiv Polytechnic ", LLC" Island MANAGEMENT "and LLC" Technologies of nature " was held.

It stands along the sidewalk where hundreds, if not thousands of people pass by every day during an academic year. Hard to say, if a dozen of them pay any attention to it.

For students and staff who work and study in the first building, the new academic year was marked by good news: on the ground floor the renovated café has hospitably opened its doors. Light and elegant - it is even smiling towards visitors.

August 28, the day before the start of the new school year, the Avenue of Stars of the University and the monument to the outstanding native aircraft designer Kostantin Kalinin were  opened in NTUU "KPI".
