In 2011, after graduating from school, Yevhen entered the Faculty of Sociology and Law of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He finished his studies extramurally.
In May 2015, he volunteered for the war, leaving a note for his parents: "I love you, but I have to go." He went to the Donetsk region to defend Ukraine, joining the Special Operations Detachment "Azov".
He received awards for the defense of Mariupol, was honored as a participant of the anti-terrorist operation, and a volunteer, awarded the Defender of the Motherland Medal.
On the first day of the full-scale invasion, February 24, he arrived at the location of the "Azov" regiment of the Kyiv Territory Defence. On March 3, Yevhen, within a group, was supposed to identify the enemy front edge near the urban-type settlement of Vorzel and make a lodgement. However, the russians were already breaking through to Bucha, so the group was ordered to defer the enemy forces advance so that there was time to consolidate the line of defense.
During the heavy battle, which lasted more than 7 hours, the rushists tried to besiege Yevhen's group. Yevhen was seriously wounded by a mine. Remaining in position, he held the perimeter and died, having discharged his duty.
Eternal memory to the hero!
