Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Michael Zgurovsky published an article in the British publication University World News, which reports on higher education news and developments from a global perspective.
Michael Zgurovsky emphasizes that not only soldiers on the battlefield can win the war, but also advanced technologies, engineers and scientists in the field of electronics, informatics, new materials and mechanics.
"During the war, Ukraine did not stop training specialists. Studies continue, although not in the usual format. Competent specialists are needed both by the Armed Forces and by the economy and society.
The development of science should be one of the highest priorities of Ukrainian politics. After all, by creating high-tech products with high added value and protecting intellectual property, we will not only provide jobs and GDP growth, but also guarantee the security of the country."
