The Faculty of Sociology and Law staff had a genuine celebration of an indispensable event for all Ukrainians. They celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of our state.
On June 25, 2021, an online meeting of students, teachers, and guests of the FSP was held as part of the creative project TIRESII. The author and moderator of the project, Associate Professor Iryna Pokulyta, started the event.
Faculty Dean Yana Tsymbalenko and Head of the Department of Philosophy Roman Bohachev congratulated all participants on Constitution Day. Professor of the Department Maryna Prepotenska told about an interview with Ukrainian politicians - direct participants in the "stormy night" of the adoption of the Constitution on June 28, 1996. She also showed and commented on a photo chronicle of those events.
Foreign partners Doctor of Philosophy and Sociology from Paris Oksana Lychkivska and Doctor of Philosophy from Athens Yorgos Papas shared their views on the European dimensions of constitutional law. Colleagues from the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University and Odessa National Polytechnic University spoke about their perception of the holiday and the importance of the Basic Law for an independent state.
Students also expressed their views on the current state of rights and freedoms and prepared music and photo gifts for all meeting participants. Associate Professor Mariana Kolotylo concluded the meeting with a unique animated online resource. On the monitor of each attendee, a symbol of a magic tree appeared. The participants' aphorisms about freedom, rights, and responsibilities decorated the branches and leaves of the tree.
