30 students received diplomas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Norway, state-recognized certificates on the professional requalification at KPI and international certificates of the Center of resource effective and clear production from international organization UNIDO on professional requalification practice that was conducted within the project “Professional requalification of reserve transferred military officers of Military Forces of Ukraine and their family members” (Ukraine-Norway project).
These documents were surrendered by Extraordinary and Authorized Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine, Ian Elvedal Fredriksen, Sergii Sydorenko, vice-rector of NTUU “KPI” on foreign affairs and correspondent-member of NAS of Ukraine, Volodymyr Rubtsov, president of International Fund of Social Adaptation (IFSA).
International project “Ukraine-Norway” is funded by the Kingdom of Norway and aims at facilitating social adaptation of reserve officers and their family members. IFSA is a project organizer in Ukraine and universities, enterprises and civil organizations are realized the project.
The ceremony took place at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” not by chance since the project was fulfilled on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education. IFSA was its organizer and the Center of Resource Effective and Clean Production provided assistance in its direction.
Volodymyr Rubtsov, the president of IFSA, told the ceremony participants about its aims, previous results and perspectives of the project “Ukraine-Norway”, in particular, he informed that 12 Ukrainian universities involved in the project who were conducting professional requalification in different directions this autumn. So, these days almost 1000 former military officers and members of their families obtained documents on the professional requalification in different specialties.
The Center of Resource Effective and Clean Production helped reserve officers and members of their families to obtain the Specialty of “Resource effective technologies”. Lecture and training on the basics of electric technique, heat technique and ecological security and the basics of resource effective and clean production were given from September to December included. The studies were intense since the general load was 500 academic hours. 16 NTUU “KPI” lecturers gave lectures. Four of them work at the Resource Effective and Clean Production Center as well. The practical component of these studies was substantial. Due to it, the students acquired practical skills of energy audits. Besides, experimental research of evaluation of a building on heat loss and search for technical solutions on improvement of energy consumption and provision of correspondent recommendations on wise exploitation was done. By the way, according to Igor Shylovych, the Center plans to continue cooperation with graduates and plans to involve them into work with Kyiv region enterprises as their certificates and diplomas give them the right to conduct energy audit of objects and that makes the graduates highly-competitive and qualified specialists in the job market.
