Representatives of the Department of nuclear power plants and engineering thermophysics (NPP and ET) of NTUU "KPI" thermal power department took part in one of the most prestigious international conferences on nuclear safety, held on July 30-August 3 in Anaheim (California, USA). At this venerable scientific meeting there were actually all scientific and engineering areas of current research in nuclear sphere.
For the first time KPI students took part in the conference on nuclear engineering in the United States, winning five grants at the "ICONE-20" conference, which gave winners the right to participate for free at the conference in USA, to pay for two-way travel and have free accommodation in Anaheim.
Department instructors prepared the report on "Safety culture – a new subject", made by Olexandr Taranovsky. All in all, together with the report of the rector NASU Academician Mykhailo Zgurovsky, NTUU "KPI" messengers presented at the Confe¬rence the results of research in eight areas.
