On October 17, the library hosted a round table discussion dedicated to the anniversary of Nikolai Fedotovich Bilyashivsky. On this day, came to us experts from the museum and library business from various Kyiv cultural and educational institutions.

24, October 2017 was the 150th anniversary of Biliashivskyi’s birth. Mykola Biliashovskyi (1867-1926) was an academician at National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, an archaeologist, an art expert, an ethnographer, a museum expert and the forst librarian of the KPI.

On October 31, 2017 professor Yuri Stepanovich Synekop turned 80. All his scientific, pedagogical, managerial achievements are inextricably linked with the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He graduated from the KPI in 1964, defended his Ph.D. thesis in 1973.

On September 22, 2017, the Head of the Department of Heat Engineering and Energy Conservation IEE Valeriy Ivanovich Deshko celebrated his jubilee. The whole life of this outstanding person, a scientist and a talented teacher is connected with the Kiev Polytechnic Institute.

The head of the Department of Geotechnical Construction and Mining Technologies of Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management Viktor Heorhiiovych Kravets turned 80 on October 9, 2017.
