As of February 2020, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, almost 20,000 electric cars have been registered in Ukraine. Over the past two years, the share of electric vehicles has increased by 300%.

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Delfast Company have opened a RnD center in which students develop new models of electro-bikes and electro-cars

The design of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials “Universal mobile multifunctional robotic system of high passability, manoeuvrability and survivability” was demonstrated in the final of the VII Festival of Innovative Projects “Sikorsky Challenge”.

At the end of 2018, ten young scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were awarded the prize of the President of Ukraine.

On April 25 H. I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library held the third meeting within the cycle of historical studies "Think about it", which is devoted to the 120th anniversary of our university. This time it was a question of public transport of Kyiv in XIX - early XX century.

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the Public Joint Stock Company “Automobile Company Bogdan Motors” and the Science Park “Kyivska Politechnica” will jointly develop new technologies and develop new types of transport. They agreed on this on April, 20.

The monorail road with a linear electric drive was developed in the 1960s and 1970s at the Department of Automation of electromechanical systems and electrical drives (AEMS-ED) with the participation of the Department of Electric Machines at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (now FEA)

In June, 12 NTUU "KPI", "Electrobus of Ukraine" and Scientific Park "Kyiv polytechnics" have signed the Memorandum of scientific and technical cooperation.

Round-table meeting was dedicated to the development of homeland electric transport which was organized May 25 at NTUU «KPI». Participants were presentedwith a elecrobus which was made by consortiums members "Elektrobus Ukraine" and improvement has been continuing till our days.
