Poet Maksym Rylsky: “Human happiness has two equal wings… beauty and usefulness”

Living stories about poet Maksym Rylsky—Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1943), Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Ukraine (1943–1946), director of the Institute of Art Studies, Folklore, and Ethnography (1944–1964)—were heard by students, faculty, and staff of KPI, as well as everyone who visited the Scientific and Technical Library on March 17 for a meeting with his grandson—also named Maksym Rylsky, a writer, public figure, and Honored Journalist of Ukraine.

On 9 November 2024, the Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted a warm and inspiring meeting of our students with the famous Ukrainian poet, prose writer, singer, translator, and military man Serhiy Zhadan.

Nina Virchenko: not only mathematics

Professor of the Department of Mathematics Analysis and Probability Theory, Ph.D. Nina Virchenko is one of the most famous Ukrainian women mathematics. She is an author of more than 500 scientific and scientific methodological works, including 20 books published in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Japanese.
