Living stories about poet Maksym Rylsky—Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1943), Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Ukraine (1943–1946), director of the Institute of Art Studies, Folklore, and Ethnography (1944–1964)—were heard by students, faculty, and staff of KPI, as well as everyone who visited the Scientific and Technical Library on March 17 for a meeting with his grandson—also named Maksym Rylsky, a writer, public figure, and Honored Journalist of Ukraine.

The book by a serving soldier of the 3rd OSB and a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics (FEL) is a form of self-reflection, an attempt to comprehend his own path through daily confrontation and reflection. The author admits: “You don't write what you think, but what you want to say."

On 9 November 2024, the Library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted a warm and inspiring meeting of our students with the famous Ukrainian poet, prose writer, singer, translator, and military man Serhiy Zhadan.

Professor of the Department of Mathematics Analysis and Probability Theory, Ph.D. Nina Virchenko is one of the most famous Ukrainian women mathematics. She is an author of more than 500 scientific and scientific methodological works, including 20 books published in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Japanese. Among these books are “Mixed boundary value problems of mathematics physics” (1985), “Generalized associated Legendre functions and their appli­ca­tions” (2001), “Generalized hypergeometric functions” (2016).

     In the first days of spring awakening not only nature, but the frozen winter people's feelings. I want romance, kindness, something that can't pronounce simple words, only poems.

The simple words of this original Christmas anthem everyone knows. And will only sound familiar melody in the memory once there are bright lights, confetti and party poppers, fun and laughter, gifts from Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, as well as welcome, especially in winter, fragrant aroma of apples, tangerines and oranges.

Recently it was published by "Ukrainian writer" the book "Word of the prophet." This verse paraphrase of poetic and philosophical essays classics of world literature, the Lebanese-American philosopher, essayist, novelist and artist Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931).

Art is a major factor that shapes our spirituality.

-I congratulate you with a purely Ukrainian holiday - the birthday of the Kobzar. I am not sure that there are nations that celebrate the birthday of the poet, - by these words Vitaly Ivashchenko started his speech.

The criterion of truth, the basis and purpose of knowledge is practice. This awareness is the cornerstone of activities of any successful teacher, especially in such a university as ours.
