The Ambassador got acquainted with our university at the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, one of the leading centers of Japanese culture in Ukraine.
“This is my first visit to your university, and I am extremely impressed by how many people here at the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute can study not only the Japanese language but also Japanese culture. I am convinced that our further cooperation in various areas will accelerate the coming of peace in Ukraine,” said Masashi Nakagome, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine.
The meeting was a continuation of the close and effective cooperation between Japan and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which has been going on for several years now and has significant results in the cultural, educational, scientific and economic spheres. Nowadays, the best Japanese companies, such as Cognitive Research Labs Co., Ltd. and the Japanese foreign trade organization JETRO, are among the partners of Kyiv Polytechnic.
“Our university has been fruitfully cooperating with the Embassy of Japan and Japanese universities, and after the full-scale invasion began, this cooperation has deepened significantly. Now there are a number of projects that we will develop further, including the support of our Ukrainian-Japanese Center,” Anatoliy Melnychenko, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
