New Year

The last days of 2014 are flowing away. Another page in the history of our state is turning.

This past year was a difficult one for Ukraine, the university, for each of us. But at the same time it was very successful.

"There are no two identical snowflakes." Probably everybody heard this phrase. But few know that it was first written by Wilson A. Bentley (Wilson Alwyn Bentley) - american farmer who became famous through his photographs of snowflakes.

On the calendar - the end of December, we are actively preparing to meet the New Year. Since childhood, we believe that this is the holiday of miracles and magic, so in a chiming clock guess most cherished desire. Each has its "effective" way.

From 8 to 13 December in the exhibition hall of the Japan-Ukrainian Center NTUU "KPI" there was held an exhibition "New year ikebana."

We all come from childhood and remember what a miracle it seemed spillage sparks of magic wands - Bengal lights on birthday or New Year. Years go by, and with the same enchanted eyes our children and grandchildren are watching the mini-fireworks..

"Do you believe in Santa Claus? " - I asked the nice girl standing nearby in a queue in office of Nova poshta. It held a pretty color bag, on a place of the return address was written "From Santa Claus". "It is worse, - she smiled. - I play it".

It’s a snowy fairytale outside, the tear-off calendar is completely empty, we live full of New Year's worries and preparing gifts for "under the tree". This year, children presented the Advent calendar.

Of course, the main concerns of housewives are fussy New Year days - it means better to lay the table, what to present to family, how to meet the guests, or what to visit friends with. Yet, this is not the only concerns. The main question is what to wear on New Year's Eve ...

The Ukrainian-Japanese center NTUU “KPI” regularly organizes events which are aimed for the acquaintance of Kiev citizens with the Japanese culture. There was a Japanese New Year holiday Motitsuki in the hall of the National-technical library NTUU “KPI” on the 3d of February 2013.

The arrival of the New Year is the most favorite holiday for children and adults. Indispensable attributes - fairytale characters Father Frost and Snow Maiden.
