In threshold of New 2016 Year I would like to wholeheartedly wish you good health, happiness and success in all your beginnings!
2015 passes in history. It wasn’t easy for our country and each of us. The Eastern Ukraine is still in war fire. The war tool lives of 7 Kyiv polytechnic colleagues. They died for our opportunity to live in independent, free country. An imperishable memory of them!
However, the collective body of the university will remember the passing year with gratefulness. Since the university not only managed to keep our positions in the educational sphere of the country, but also multiply scientific achievements, though difficult the year was. The beginning of December brought the news that the quantity of laureates of the State Prize of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technique increased.
Our university is enlisted in the top 6 Ukrainian higher educational institutions that are included in QS World University Rankings 2015, best world universities list. Moreover, along with Taras Shevchenko KNU, the KPI was included in top 5 best universities of 20 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Besides, KPI became a leader of Ukrainian educational institutions in the world Webometrics rating occupying the first position in the rating of top universities “TOP-200 Ukraine”, our Internet-portal was declared the best in the web-sites openness of HEI of Ukraine!
KPI became an organizer of Innovative-productive platform – new for our country model of uniting science and innovation organizations and industrial enterprises. 7 top leading enterprises of “Ukroboronprom” and “State space agency of Ukraine” comprised the list. The platform provides development and implementation of new, breakthrough projects and manufacturing of critically important products for Ukraine today within one cycle.
But the most important event was, probably, “Sikorskyi Challenge 2015”, festival of innovative project that took place at NTUU “KPI”. It brought UAH 573 mln. to the winners – unprecedented sum for Ukraine. Laureates concluded agreements with venture, investment and charity funds that invested into developments!
We can continue counting KPI achievements on and on. We should at the same time remember that that’s one stage towards the future way. The future depends on the persistence of every of us, coordination, mutual respect and support.
