On May 27, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by the delegation of “Airbus Helicopters” company (French Republic).

On May, 22, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by delegations of two institutions of the higher education from People's Republic of China - the Nanchang University (Nanchang, the Province of Jiangxi) and the Shandong University of Science and Technology (Qingdao, the Province of Shandong).

At the request of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany on April 24 Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by the deputies of the Bundestag (the German parliament) from the Free Democratic Party Renata Alt and Frank Muller-Rosentrit.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is awarded with the Grand Prix "The leader of the higher education of Ukraine" of the international educational exhibition "modern educational institutions" which took place in the Kiev Palace of children and youths from March 14 to March 16.

The annual All-Ukrainian Olympiad “Mechatronics in mechanical engineering” was held at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” in November.

The design of the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials “Universal mobile multifunctional robotic system of high passability, manoeuvrability and survivability” was demonstrated in the final of the VII Festival of Innovative Projects “Sikorsky Challenge”.

On December 5 Igor Sikorsky KPI was visited by a delegation of top managers and heads of structural divisions of the corporation "Boeing".

At the VII International Innovation Projects “Sikorsky Challenge” Fair which was held at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the 11-14 of October, 2018, the joint elaboration of scientists of the Mechanical Engineering Institute and Radio Engineering Faculty was presented.

All of us are from childhood and we have made various designs and operating mechanisms from toy parts. For some people that enthusiasm has grown into a future profession.

Four years ago, a group of initiative students of our university under the direction of the head of the Department of Integrated Mechanical Engineering Technologies of the Mechanical Engineering Institute, Professor Vitaliy Pasichnyk joined the international Formula Student project.
