James taught English at school and managed a free language club for students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

According to the President’s of Ukraine order,  2016 year was declared the Year of English in Ukraine. During the year, teachers of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was lucky to take part in the summer school of the British Council in Ukraine.

In July and August 2016 teachers of NTUU “KPI after Igor Sikorsky's” were trained in the courses as a part of the project “English language for universities”, which is implemented by the British Council in Ukraine.

In June, 2, 3 in NTUU "KPI" there was a coordinators delegation of British Council project in Ukraine "English for universities" with participation of advisor Rod Bolitho and project manager Zhanna Sevastianova.

It is known that from the 1st of September NTUU ‘KPI’ will shift to the 100% teaching of foreign students in English. Moreover, substantially high level of English would be demanded from Ukrainian students who are to enter the KPI Master’s – according to the B1 criterion standards and B2 for masters entering Postgraduate.

During the meeting of leaders of the British Council in Ukraine with the management of NTU "KPI" new programs of learning English were discussed. This meeting took place on 2 October.

As the center of educational initiatives, scientific thought and unity of talented youth NTUU "KPI" has once again confirmed its reputation and demonstrated the excellence of the Kiev Polytechnics students.
