The new mural under the name “Adolescence” appeared in July on the territory of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the wall of the building number 7. The author of the mural is the artist Marat Morik.

On September 4 the solemn opening of the reconstructed and refurbished fountain took place at KPI Museum Square in front of the monument of the KPI Professor, academician Eugene Paton.

In April, 28 there was an official opening of Star Alley of Igor Sikorsky at historical building №1.

Recently, the Department of HTF Cybernetics of Chemical Technology Processes to new research laboratory of process measurement and modeling was opened. It was the third spacial laboratory, which was introduced in the department educational process over the last four years.

Six more trees appeared on the alley of Sakura that has been recently planted Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute campus on the occasion of the Year of Japan in Ukraine.

On the occasion of 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and Ukraine in terms of Year of Japan in Ukraine a sakura alley was planted onsite National technical university of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute” on 12 April.

At the end of  November the installation of memorials on the Walk of Stars before the historic building №1 of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” was completed.

In October, 5, 2016 there was Academic Center for physical and chemical methods of research on the basis of analytical association "Agilent Technologies" opened at Chemical and Engineering Faculty of NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI".

Those who are considering which place to choose for getting higher education, is getting nostalgic for old students years spent in KPI or looking for places of interests in Kyiv have got a chance to have a 3D-tour of the main building, Polytechnic museum and Scientific and technical library of the university. Besides, all interested people can have a virtual tour of sunlit Walk of Fame and the Square of Knowledge.

A lot of renowned people have left an imprint on the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during its more than a hundred years’ history. People always want to know more about their predecessors.
