Unfortunately, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute opponents resort to extremely unscrupulous methods, spreading frankly false, fake information. Another dirty insinuation concerns the panel on the wall of the University campus #18. Some people say it is going to be removed. The rumor has no basis to believe in it. In fact, the outstanding work of the famous Ukrainian painter, performance artist and philosopher Feоdosiy Tetyanich is of great importance for the University. In the 1970s, many of the then Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute members participated in the panel installation. However, now it needs restoration. The administration of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science located in the campus building #18 together with the artist's wife Anna Tetyanich are looking for experts who would carry out its restoration.
Dean of the FICS Serhii Telenyk comments:
‘The panel is in poor condition. Some fasteners have lost their shape, weakened and are a threat to people, because the parts can fall off at any moment. There are metal structures that need replacing, and there is a mosaic that needs restoring by professionals. As soon as we find experts on restoration, we will start working immediately.’
As for the repair of the walls, this made a big thing about nothing: the winterization of only three parts of the campus building continues. The wall with the panel will not undergo winterization until the start of restoration work.
