The director of scientific and technological center tells about new technology of use of the highly effective unified tubular technology of burning of gas "Ecotechnology and technology of energy saving", the vice rector for scientific and pedagogical work by G. B. Varlamov.
“This is all about development of the tubular technologies of burning of gaseous fuel to which natural gas, gas-methane, mine methane, biogas and other combustible gases are applied. Such technology which allows to burn equally effectively in coppers, steam generators, heat generators and combustion chambers of gas-turbine installations gaseous fuel, in the world doesn't exist. It was developed by scientists of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, the relevant school of sciences was created by the Doctor of Engineering, professor Hristich Vladimir Aleksandrovich in the 70th years of the last century and which scientific researches actively continue the Dr.Sci.Tech., professor G. M. Lyubchik and your obedient servant. Two years ago the scientific and technological center "Ecotechnology and technology of energy saving" which university submission and now is engaged in development and deployment of various technologies directed on ecological safety of burning of fuel in thermal and municipal power was created. This technology was developed within the last 10-15 years, it passed certain stages of development and in Ukraine it is existed almost 3 years, scientists actively try to introduce it. The Cabinet knows about it and this technology is supported by the President of Ukraine. From last year there is an order of the Cabinet to introduce it, there is an order of the Prime minister of Ukraine to Ministers of Fuel and Energy, to ministers of municipal services, National agency of energy saving to introduce this technology. But, unfortunately, these all stopped on the paper.
Therefore we try to enter it independently at the domestic enterprises, - Gennady Borisovich tells further. - Everybody say that technology is interesting, but so far refuse its introduction because of shortage of means. It is interesting for two reasons. The first - ecological. That means that the offered technology allows to burn gaseous fuel with high ecological safety. Emissions of harmful substances minimum also do not exceed maximum permissible norms.
Besides, it is possible to significantly improve power efficiency of burning. For example, introduction of this technology in gas-turbine installations of the gas-distributing units located at gas-distributing stations for transportation of gas from Russia to the West allow to save a huge amount of natural gas, about 10-15% of that quantity which is burned.
For example, gas-distributing stations, which are located in Ukraine, have about 500 various types of gas-distributing units. The majority of them have power from 6 to 25 MW. The efficiency of units makes 26-31%. If take the gas-distributing device GTK-10 with a power of 10 MW into account, at a rated power it gives the chance to save about 15% of natural gas of quantity which is necessary for work of gas-turbine installation. It makes about 600-800 cubic meters of gas an hour. This amount of fuel is enough for heating the cottage of 200 sq.m within a month. Thus, in days perhaps with use tubular technologies to save so much fuel, how many it is necessary for heating of 24 cottages within a month. Thus, if use tubular technology within a day it is possible to save so much fuel, that is needed for heating of 24 cottages within a month. That means that, for the working day it is possible to save fuel for heating of one village within one month. Such units as GTK-10 at stations of Ukraine is 77. It isn't difficult to calculate economic effect of introduction only on these units. A payback period - less than ten months.
We made experiments and introduced this technology at station in Berdichev, - the scientist speaks. - There are relevant acts signed with the management of Kiyevtransgaz, confirming the given calculations and results of tests. Moreover, during tests we managed to improve technical and economic indicators of operation of the gas-compressor unit, we increased efficiency for 3%.
Now we try to use this technology on coppers. Preliminary tests on coppers of small power in JSC Kiyevenergo finished ecological and economic advantages of tubular torches in comparison with regular torches. We also developed torches for contact heat generators, for example, KAOM-1. About 15% of fuel gas allow to save installations on these contact heat generators of tubular torches, the payback period makes about one year.
The tubular technology of burning of gaseous fuel is unified, because with the help of torches that realize this technology it is possible to create units of a wide power range with equally high ecological and power efficiency. It also the universal. After all it can be used for various units: contact, superficial, coppers and combustion chambers. In world practice, such technology doesn't exist. This technology is protected by patents of Ukraine. Now there are patenting in Russia ".
