On December 4–6, 2025, Igor Sikorsky KPI First Vice Rector Mykhailo Bezuglyi, Chief Accountant Kateryna Zaits, and Head of the Planning and Finance Department Maryna Bronytska are participating in the workshop "Planning and Financing, Accounting and Reporting, Human Resources and Salaries, Property Relations in Higher Education Institutions," which is being held at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Seminar topics: planning of income and expenses, estimates, staffing standards and schedules of higher education institutions, remuneration, vacations, student scholarships, maintenance of orphans in educational institutions, distribution of budget funds among higher education institutions, state grants for higher education, features of accounting in higher education institutions, accounting policy for 2026, financial and budget reporting for 2025, sick leave, employment records, taxation of certain types of activities of higher education institutions, organization of internal audit and control in higher education institutions, property issues and lease of state property, treasury services, accounting, reporting, public procurement, etc.
Current issues are considered by experts from the Ministry of Education and Science, the State Tax Service, the Pension Fund, the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, and the State Audit Service of Ukraine.
Important information for teachers and students from the Ministry of Education and Science:
• In 2026, the salaries of scientific and pedagogical workers will increase twice a year.
• From September 1, 2026, scholarships will double.
During Mykhailo Bezuglyi's speech, seminar participants from various higher education institutions in Ukraine learned about the positive experience of Igor Sikorsky KPI in providing and formalizing paid services.
📌 As part of the event, the first vice-rector of Kyiv Polytechnic University took part in a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andrii Stashkov and the rector of Lviv Polytechnic University Nataliia Shakhovska.
Based on the results of the seminar, participants will formulate proposals for improving the regulatory and legal framework on the issues discussed.
