On the Action Plan for the implementation of gender equality principles in the practice of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for 2024-2027

The decision of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of November 11, 2024 on the issue “On the Action Plan for the implementation of the principles of gender equality in the practice of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for 2024-2027” - in the context of the requirements of international and national regulations in this area.

In order to establish the principles of gender equality at the university, based on international and national regulations in force in Ukraine and relevant as of November 2024, in particular, the European Commission's Strategy for Gender Equality for 2020-2025, the recommendations of the Horizon Europe program on gender equality plans in research and innovation, 2021, and the conditions for participation in Horizon Europe competitions, as well as the provisions on gender equality in the order of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute dated 3 November 2024. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute dated 3.10.2024 №NOD/713/24 “On approval of policies at the university in the context of sustainable development”,

The Academic Council approves:

1. To approve the “Action Plan for the implementation of gender equality principles in the practice of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for 2024-2027” (hereinafter - the Action Plan) (Annex 1).

2. The composition of the working group on gender equality of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (hereinafter - the working group) (Appendix 2) - to recommend for approval by the order of the university.

3. The working group, commissions of the Academic Council of the University (O.A. Akimova, V.I. Tymofeev, O.V. Linyuchova, O.O. Vovk, S.I. Bevz) - in cooperation with the vice-rectors in the areas, with public organizations to take measures to ensure the implementation of the Action Plan.

4. To recommend to the deans of faculties, directors of educational and research institutes, heads of departments:

4.1 To take appropriate measures at the level of subdivisions to ensure the implementation of the Action Plan;

4.2. Establish working groups on the implementation of gender equality principles at the level of subdivisions and provide assistance in organizing their activities.

5. To the editors of the newspapers “Svit”, “Kyiv Polytechnic”, other mass media of the university and subdivisions to cover the implementation of the Action Plan, to provide positive examples of the development of processes for deepening the principles of gender equality at the university;

together with the SMS, ensure the systematic transfer of relevant materials for publication in the resource of the world university ranking QS - Global Education News (QS GEN).
