Yaroslav Marynenko, a graduate of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of 2014, died in the battle near Bakhmut on January 17. He studied at the Department of Dynamics and Strength of Machines and Strength of Materials of Educational and Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Obukhiv Territorial Defence Forces as a tactical training instructor.
"He was one of the best tactical instructors at the training center of the Obukhiv Region Territorial Defense Battalion. And recently he was transferred to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine unit, because he was more than willing to fight," Bohdan Yatsun, his brother-in-law, tells about Yaroslav.
