Pavlo graduated from the Faculty of Radio Engineering of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1995. He worked as a software engineer in Kyiv.
He took an active part in the Revolution of Dignity. In December 2013, he was in Maidan on numerous occasions.
In the evening of December 18, when Pavlo was returning home, he was beaten with sticks and kicked unmercifully by unknown men in black uniforms, body armor and helmets.
At first, the man refused hospitalization. However, after a few days, there was a breakdown in his condition. On December 22, he died in the intensive care unit. The forensic medical examination indicated bilateral pneumonia as the cause of death.
On November 21, 2014, Pavlo Mazurenko was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Golden Star Order.
