Roman graduated from Faculty of Heat and Power Engineering of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1995. He worked in the banking sector, working his way up from an ordinary IT specialist to the deputy director of the Kyiv directorate of one of the largest banks in Ukraine.
In 2015, on his own initiative, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a battery executive officer in the 79th Airmobile Brigade. In 2016, he left military service and returned to work at the bank.
On February 24, 2022, Roman joined the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the battery executive officer of the Self-propelled Artillery Battalion. Roman got killed as a result of enemy artillery attack in the battle on May 5, 2022.
