The final stage of the 2nd International Professional Competition for Teachers of the University “Formation of Competences in Vocational Education”, according to the project “Science and Education on-line”, announced the winners. Among them were representatives of Igor Sikorsky KPI. Subjects, monographs, teaching aids, collections of tasks, workshops, web-sites, electronic teaching aids, etc. were presented at the competition.
The competition was attended by representatives of the teaching staff of 149 leading universities from European countries (including the EU) and Asia. Competitive works were considered in 18 directions on technical and physical-mathematical sciences, pedagogy and psychology of higher education, etc. Participants were leading professors (Professor - 23,6% of the members), associate professors (Associate Professor - 69,7%) and lecturers (Assistant - 6,7%). The structure of the competition in nominations corresponded to professional competences - 60.7% of the number of works, general-professional - 29.2%, and general-cultural competences - 10.1%.
The final meeting of the Expert Council of this representative international competition took place on January 30, 2018. It is a pleasure to announce that in the nomination “Technical sciences, professional competences” the textbook “Labor Protection in Heat and Power Engineering”, which has the neck of the Scientific Council of NTUU “Igor Sikorsky KPI” (Minutes №5 dated June 8, 2015) became the winner. The first place was awarded to the authors of the textbook: Associate Professor of the Department of Occupational Safety, Industrial and Civil Security, Ph.D. Sergiy Andriyovych Gavrysh and associate professor of the department of theoretical and industrial heat engineering, Ph.D. Andriy Sergiyovych Gavrysh. Unfortunately, one of the co-authors - Sergiy Andriyovych Gavrysh, has not lived up to the light moment of inter-national success (see “KP” number 16 of May 12, 2016). But Sergiy Andriyovych's creative achievements, his unique textbooks will help to learn thousands of students.
