A large part of the research conducted at our university associated with the use of mechatronic systems, the combining units with electronic precision mechanics and their electrical components  to ensure the design of new modules and systems with intelligent control. The use of electric cars, microprocessor technology, power electronics and software is characterized for such systems. High efficiency of the process and the efficient use of electricity are achieved with the help of these aspects..

Mechatronic systems are one of the areas of research that are conducted by students and lecturers of automation of electromechanical systems and electric drive department at FEPEA. In particular, the Master Juriy Zaychenko conducts theoretical and experimental researches in "Vector control by angular position and speed of a synchronous motor with excitation from permanent magnets." Vektor synchronous electric motor, servomotor, gives the best results of traffic control, as it is widely used in robotics, metalworking, and industrial and printing machines, spinning machines, winding devices, lifting units, extruders and so on. The research advisor is professor S.M.Peresada, doctor of engineering science, the head of automation of electromechanical systems and electric drive department, who has 187 publications, including 150 scientific ones.

As a part of the graduate design Yuriy Zaychenko established a laboratory setting to study modern synchronous electric drive, which from the point of theory and practice is important for training specialists in "Electromechanical systems of automation and electric drive."

"The work for master's thesis has started on the fifth year. I am deeply grateful to faculty and postgraduates of our department: prof. S.M.Peresada, lecturer S.M.Kovbasa, assist. S.S.Dymko, posgraduates A.B. Voronko and D.L.Prystupa and also A.S.Alisov and M.V.Zaychenko for their support and assistance, "- says the student.

Yuriy Savchenko awarded the Principal scholarship for academic achievements and successful researches.
